We have officially started our journey in August of 2024.
A little over 10 years ago we started to seriously think about starting our company and we worked on acquiring all the relevant skills in the process. Sami studied to become an IT-engineer and Jani studied game design in Helsinki.

Entrepreneurship has been a jungle of it's own and we have made more mistakes that we dared even imagine.
For example:
Straight Edge was pulled out of the Play Store by Google, because we used JavaScript on our webpage and we didn't realise that it would be an issue. The privacy policy of our game would have to be accessible on the site, even with JavaScript disabled in the browser.
We have also wasted a lot of time on other projects and life has honestly been pretty hectic, as we have tried to study and work as well on the side.


Straight Edge was born out of desire to create a game that would be easy to get into and would also teach our youth about the dangers of drug abuse. Another issue presented itself though, in the form of a 'PEGI 16' classification.
Our game is pretty much finished now, except for a few bugs that still need to be fixed, which presented themselves after we updated our game engine. Right now there are mainly issues with some plugins etc.


However our company is still afloat, we have learned a lot and undoubtetly our skills will further evolve during 2026.
We have also thought about becoming a limited company, if we find more people to work with us or people who wish to invest in us.

There is lots of stuff to do only two of us.
